Kodi Ann Wilson

Well, she finally arrived April 15, 2008! At least we will have something wonderful to celebrate every tax day from here on out!




They induced Jacki's labor at about 3:30 Monday afternoon. I arrived about 6, after work, when her contractions were starting to come one right on top of the other- and hard!!! It was all back labor, so Dan and I took turns rubbing her back and trying to encourage her. At about 8 she decided she would have an epidural after all. I was somewhat relieved, because by this point she had only dilated 1 centimeter (she was now at 3) and I thought it was going to be a long night. At about 9:40 the anesthisiologist arrived, and administered the drugs. Then I was able to take pictures. Amazingly (to me) she went to full dilation in about 2 and 1/2 hours!!! The hospital was busy that night with three ladies at the same point in their labor (including Jacki) and they all had the same doctor. Jacki was first to give birth and Dan's girls were in awe of the miracle of little Kodi's arrival!





As you can tell from the picture, she's beautiful!!! She has a full head of dark, dark hair and weighs 7lb, 7oz. She reminds me so much of Jacki at that age, even down to the size. Jacki had darker skin, but outside of that, they look alike! Daddy and Mama are both exhausted, though. Both of them are recovering from bad colds, (especially Jacki), so I'm staying home today to give them space to rest. I am not happy with the pictures I took. (I think I was too excited to be a proper photographer), so I will work on getting some more pics in the days ahead.
